Akdan Consultancy was founded in Ankara in 1995 by Nilüfer Arıak. For over thirty years we have advised a wide range of institutions, from public bodies and family businesses to international organisations and holdings.
To date we have advised more than 1,000 brands and played a role in managing over 10,000 portfolio assets. Our approach has never changed: start from each institution’s own reality, produce measurable value and build long-term relationships.
Our journey
- 1974
Foundations
Nilüfer Arıak graduated in Economics and Statistics from METU and continued with postgraduate studies at Ankara University’s Faculty of Political Sciences. Twenty years in finance followed, in Türkiye and abroad, up to general manager.
- 1995
Akdan is founded
Leaving a general manager role, Nilüfer Arıak founded Akdan Consultancy in Ankara to create difference and value in management consulting.
- 2000s
Investment, finance, training
Advisory in the investment process of some 500 enterprises and more than 300 projects; over 10,000 participants trained through EU programmes and entrepreneurship courses. A reference list from public institutions to holdings.
- 2021
On air
First OSTİM TV Sektör Konuşuyor broadcast, on crisis management; followed by SMEs in crisis (2024) and the 2025 economic outlook.
- 2025
Thirtieth year, new identity
Brand identity and digital presence renewed end to end; green finance sessions in TÜRMOB’s Sustainability Reporting Specialist training.
- 2026
Export Academy
Teaching e-commerce and foreign trade accounting in the Ministry of Trade’s Export Academy programme at METU; a new chapter across six practices.
